What is a Transport?

A legal document proving ownership of property under the Roman Dutch law system, essentially meaning the land owner has full and absolute ownership of the property, similar to a freehold title in other jurisdictions.

What documents are required?

  1. A Master Transport may be presented
  2. Instruction to Advertise
  3. Affidavit of Purchaser(s) and Vendors(s)
  4. Power(s) of Attorney (if applicable)

Fees

  • General Fee – ½ of 1% of value of property
  • Duty – 2% of value of property
